Anthrax - Αποχώρησε ο κιθαρίστας Rob Caggiano

   Μετά από 12 συνολικά χρόνια συνεργασίας ο κιθαρίστας Rob Caggiano αποφάσισε να αποχωρήσει από τους Anthrax και να ασχοληθεί με ένα άλλο ενδιαφέρον του, την παραγωγή δίσκων. Ως παραγωγός έχει ήδη συνεργαστεί με διάφορα ονόματα, όπως οι Cradle Of Filth ή ο Jesse Malin, ενώ επιμελήθηκε και τον τελευταίο δίσκο των Anthrax "Worship Music" του 2011.

" I'm extremely proud of my time in Anthrax. Actually, that's an understatement! We accomplished so many great things together over the years and I shared some of the best times of my life with these guys. As a band, we also weathered quite a few storms along the way. It's been a wild ride (to say the least) from Day One and I wouldn't change one single thing about the last 12 years. 
   This is an extremely difficult and emotional decision for me to make, but my heart is just steering me in a different direction right now. I've always been one to follow my heart in everything that I do and while this might be one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, it feels like the right one for me at this time. Scott, Charlie, Joey, Frankie will always be part of my family and this decision doesn't change the way I feel about that in the slightest. I would also like to say thanks to all the amazing fans I've met and hung out with worldwide over the years. You guys always were and always will be the reason why I make music! 
   In this day and age, being a musician isn't always easy — also an understatement — but the fans truly make it worthwhile for me. I hope to see each and every one of you again really soon. The fact that Anthrax is at the top of their game right now and totally 'out for blood' after all these years is a testament to this band's longevity and conviction! I'm truly honored to have been a part of their brilliant legacy. "
   Τα υπόλοιπα μέλη της μπάντας απ'τη μεριά τους δήλωσαν ότι όσο κι αν τους στενοχωρεί η απόφαση του φίλου και συνεργάτη τους, του εύχονται επιτυχίες με την καινούργια του ασχολία και ελπίζουν κάποια στιγμή να ξαναβρεθούν μαζί στη σκηνή. Όσον αφορά το επερχόμενο Metal Alliance Tour θα ανακοινώσουν σύντομα τον αναπληρωματικό τους κιθαρίστα.

Testament- Αποχώρησε ο ντράμερ και ετοιμάζει νέο σχήμα

   Ο Chuck Billy, των Τestament, ανακοίνωσε ότι ο ντράμερ Paul Bostaph, αποχωρεί από το σχήμα για να δημιουργήσει ένα νέο project με τον πρώην τραγουδιστή των Anthrax Dan Nelson. Το όνομα του νέου σχήματος του Bostaph θα λέγεται "Black Gates".

   Ο Chuck δήλωσε τα εξής: 

"We just found our last week Paul Bostaph is not coming back to the band, he's starting his own new project and doing some things on his own. So we're actually going to be holding a couple of auditions with probably small group of drummers that we chose - we don't want to have a revolving drum stool, we have a new record we want a permanent drummer... We're still buddies, it's just that Paul feels at this point in his career he wants to be in a little more in control of the artistic creation of the songs and with his new project they are all involved with that process whereas with our group Eric is pretty much the main songwriter and that's just the way its been with us for 25 years."

Anthrax - "The Devil You Know" (new song)

   Μετά από 8 χρόνια δισκογραφικής απουσίας οι Αμερικανοί heavy metallers Anthrax επανέρχονται με τον αυθεντικού υλικού δίσκο "Worship Music" (που κρίνοντας και από τον τίτλο είναι πολλά-υποσχόμενος εφόσον μιλάμε για μια μπάντα που μετράει περίπου 30 χρόνια καριέρας και συνεχίζει). Το πολύ-αναμενόμενο 10ο studio album του συγκροτήματος κυκλοφορεί στις 16 Σεπτεμβρίου 2011 από την Nuclear Blast.

   Στις 24 Ιουνίου δόθηκε για free download και πρώτη γεύση του νέου δίσκου το κομμάτι "Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't", ενώ παρακάτω μπορείτε να ακούστε άλλο ένα δείγμα με το "The Devil You Know".

Νέο group με πρώην μέλη των Anthrax, Slayer και Whitesnake

   Οι Blackgates είναι το νέο metal συγκρότημα με πρώην μέλη των Anthrax, Slayer και Whitesnake.
   Συγκεκριμένα, οι σύνθεση του συγκροτήματος αποτελείται από τους Dan Nelson (ex-Anthrax), Paul Bostaph (Testament, ex-Exodus, Slayer, Forbidden), Jeremy Epp (The Venting Machine) και Uriah Duffy (Whitesnake).
   Η μπάντα ήδη ολοκλήρωσε το πρώτο demo της.
