Iced Earth - Ο νέος δίσκος τον Οκτώβριο

   Οι Αμερικανοί heavy metallers Iced Earth κυκλοφορούν τον νέο δίσκο τους με τίτλο "Plagues of Babylon" τον ερχόμενο Οκτώβριο μέσω της Century Media Records. Τελευταία κυκλοφορία τους ήταν το δέκατο σε σειρά άλμπουμ "Dystopia" του 2011.

Iced Earth - Το φθινόπωρο θα ξεκινήσουν να δουλεύουν πάνω στον επόμενο δίσκο

   Σε πρόσφατη ανακοίνωση του ο κιθαρίστας και frontman των Iced Earth Jon Schaffer, αφού ευχαρίστησε τους οπαδούς της μπάντας για την υποστήριξη στην περιοδεία, αποκάλυψε ότι θα ξεκινήσουν να δουλεύουν πάνω στο καινούργιο άλμπουμ από το φθινόπωρο.
   Τελευταία δουλειά των Αμερικανών power metallers είναι ο δίσκος "Dystopia" του 2011 (δέκατος στο ιστορικό τους μετά τον "The Crucible of Man" του 2008). Πρόσφατα αποχώρησε και ο αρχικός μπασίστας τους Freddie Vidales, ο οποίος αντικαταστάθηκε από τον Luke Appleton.
   " Just wanted to write a thank you to all the fans on the last leg of the tour. You guys were amazing every single night, no matter where in the world we were. It was a truly special run, and one that will remain high in my memories for years to come.
   We will start songwriting in the fall this year and will continue that, and the subsequent production for the new album, in between and around upcoming tour plans for the remainder of 2012-2013. Busy, focused, and energizing times lie ahead, but we are stoked and ready! Count on it! 
   I'm currently in South America, hanging with friends, and taking care of some personal business here. Home sweet home is just around the corner, and I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed! AHHHHH!!!! 
   I'd also like to say good luck to Freddie Vidales. We had a lot of fun through the years and I wish him all the best for his future. We totally understand his decision and support it 100%. Best to you, brother!

Iced Earth - Αποχωρεί ο μπασίστας Freddie Vidales

   Ο επί 5 χρόνια μπασίστας των Iced Earth Freddie Vidales ανακοίνωσε την αποχώρησή του από την μπάντα μετά τις συναυλίες στην Κίνα που ολοκληρώνονται στα τέλη του μήνα. Λόγω των συναυλιακών τους υποχρεώσεων οι Αμερικανοί power metallers βρήκαν αμέσως προσωρινό αντικαταστάτη τον Luke Appleton (Fury Uk), ο οποίος είχε ξαναπαίξει μαζί τους στην ευρωπαική περιοδεία του περασμένου χειμώνα.

   Τελευταία δισκογραφική δουλειά των Iced Earth είναι ο δέκατος κατά σειρά δίσκος τους "Dystopia", που κυκλοφόρησε τον Οκτώβριο του 2011.

Iced Earth - "Anthem" (new video)

   Κυκλοφόρησε το επίσημο βίντεο των Iced Earth για το κομμάτι τους "Anthem", που περιλαμβάνεται στον καινούργιο τους δίσκο "Dystopia" του 2011. 

   Το βίντεο είναι τραβηγμένο τη Γερμανία κατά τη διάρκεια της ευρωπαικής περιοδείας του συγκροτήματος, με παραγωγή και σκηνοθεσία από την Kosch Fabian Film. Ο κιθαρίστας Jon Schaffer δήλωσε σχετικά:

“We had a blast making that video. I think the fans can see it on our faces. ‘Anthem’ captures the energy of our live shows, as well as the fun we’re having together as a band.”

   Σύμφωνα με update του κιθαρίστα της μπάντας Jon Schaffer ο νέος δίσκος των Iced Earth έχει τίτλο "Dystopia" και θα κυκλοφορήσει στο τέλος της χρονιάς. Το "Dystopia" θα είναι το 10ο album της καριέρας των Iced Earth και το 1ο με τον καινούργιο τραγουδιστή Stu Block.
   *Το συγκρότημα θα επισκεφτεί τη χώρα μας τον Νοέμβριο για 3 συναυλίες: 18 και 19 Νοεμβρίου στο Gagarin 205 της Αθήνας και 20 Νοεμβρίου στο Principal Club της Θεσσαλονίκης.

"Hello gang! Just a quick update for you from the road. We had a great weekend playing at Sweden Rock Friday and the Rock Hard festival in Germany on Saturday. The band’s having a lot of fun, and today we begin rehearsing the new songs for the forthcoming CD, titled 'Dystopia.' We begin master tracking in Florida in 2 weeks and will be traveling between Europe and the US this summer to play festivals and finish the new album. I can honestly say that I haven’t had this many songs give me goose bumps since we recorded Something Wicked This Way Comes, way back in 1998, so this is also very exciting.

"As you can imagine, it’s a very busy time for us. I think we’re all having emotional ups and downs as we’re coming to the end of an era with Matt’s retirement, and we’re also very excited about the futurewith Stu coming onboard, so it’s a little bit of a roller coaster ride for us. However, we are having a killer time, and Matt is performing at his absolute best and going out with pure class and style, which is always the way he rolls.

"We also had a great time hanging out with the guys in Down last night at the Rock Hard festival. Freddie and my manager joined them onstage for a nice jam at the end of the show. It was brilliant and a lot of fun.
