Oι Σουηδοί gothic metallers Katatonia ανακοίνωσαν τον τίτλο του νέου τους άλμπουμ, που πρόκειται να κυκλοφορήσει στις 28 Αυγούστου από την Peaceville Records. Το όνομα του επερχόμενου αυτού δίσκου θα είναι "Dead End Kings", που είναι ο έννατος κατά σειρά της μπάντας, μετά τους δίσκους "The Great Cold Distance" (2006) και "Night Is the New Day" (2009) που σημείωσαν μεγάλη επιτυχία. Όσο αναφορά το "Dead End Kings", θα περιέχει μια συνεργασία με τον Νορβηγό τραγουδιστή Silje Wergeland (The Gathering), ενώ να σημειωθεί ότι την επιμέλεια του artwork ανέλαβε ο Travis Smith."Dead End Kings" tracklist:

Σε πρόσφατη συνέντευξη του ο κιθαρίστας Anders "Blakkheim" Nyström δήλωσε, για το νόημα των στίχων του "Dead End Kings", τα εξής: "The lyrics are, actually, a mixture of trying to be as direct and easy as possible but also remaining a very cryptic feel at the same time, which is a very cool paradox. We're not trying to make it too complicated, but it might be… I mean, the words aren't too complicated, but the meaning of the songs is encrypted. And that we are very eager to see how people will react to and how they will define the meanings of these lyrics. 'Cause they're easy to read, easy to access, but the meaning itself might not be that easy [to decipher].
